				| If you use the current version you can change all but two if the alerts.
Although popular I cant stand the pgpsw spoken alerts they sound too microsoft sam for my liking.

the only ones I cant get rid off is the bing bong gatso which is in place of my mobile camera alert and another one I use for specs.

Rearlly lopoking foward to the new version

				| I have just got a tomtom one and installed the camera database which is working fine. I want to install the voices instead of the normal alerts, however the info on the appropriate page does not help me as the file names are different.
Where do I install the new file to make it work ?
 Chris

				| Hello and Welcome.
On the Voice Download page, http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php you choose the voice file that matches your Version Number.

You can find your Version by touching the bottom of the Navigation Screen, on the right. Version No. is then shown in small panel.

				| The tomtom "one" files appear to be different from the "go".
 I cant see a file called data.chk

I have downloaded the new file but am not sure which file to replace.

In the "one "files there are files called "voices" and "data".

Anyone got the idiots guide on how to do this with the "one" ?

				| Simple answer to this one!
You haven't got your PC set up to show the file extensions correctly.

In Windows Explorer or My Computer, go to the "Tools" menu, then "Folder Options...". Click on the "View" tab and UN-TICK the box labelled "Hide extensions for known file types".

Voila, you will have thumbed your nose at Bill Gates, and will now be told the truth about your file names (or a bit more anyway!)

				| I've updated my real voice ( Andy, Liz & Vicki ) warning prompts for the new versions of TTGO V5.42 and PPC V5.21.
There is also an updated version of the POIW Extend program for the TTGO V5.42. Another update for the PPC V5.21 is next on the list.

At the bottom of my download page you'll find some zip files that contain all the normal gatso, mobile etc plus the specs speed zones ogg files. Use the Poiw Extend program and have more than the standard 15 warning sounds
