				|
 |
				| Hi,
Forgive the basic question but cannot find an answer in the manual etc.

When going past an existing mobile site you get the Tick and Cross icons.

I would assume they are for one to confirm if the mobile is there or not , yes ?

However when pressing either I get taken to the another detailed menu, looking more like one for logging a new mobile, which when driving is something too distracting to go into, so ignore/cancel.

Is this supposed to happen ?

 thanks

				| Yes and you can't switch it off. Annoying isn't it? Especially the bloody sound alert that goes with it | |

				| It is possible to mute that annoying noise, but not stop it. By that I mean that instead of the annoying noise interrupting your audio output, you get silence interrupting your audio output! Hopefully there'll be a future option to remove it. _________________

Can anyone answer this part of richard101 question as I get the same thing and agree it is very distracting.

				| How do you do that? I don't play any other audio so it won't matter to me. | JockTamsonsBairn wrote: | | By that I mean that instead of the annoying noise interrupting your audio output, you get silence interrupting your audio output! |
There is nothing to answer that hasn't already been answered in post #2. You can't switch either the noise or the popup off. Just ignore it. It goes away after a few annoying seconds. | Alan wrote: | | Can anyone answer this part of richard101 question as I get the same thing and agree it is very distracting. |
It's just really annoying that you get two alerts telling you that a mobile camera isn't there (most of the time) the normal alert, then the popup alert. Driving where there are mobile sites on nearly every overbridge is a nightmare.

				| Especially because it seems to not be directional, so I get Ding Tick Cross for mobiles on the opposite side, and two bluddy Ding Tick Crosses for bi-directional ones. _________________

				| Tapping the tick/cross should be a one-hit thing - i.e. you tap whether it is active or not and then the option goes away. If you're being taken to another screen then you're either missing the tick/cross icons and tapping the alert bar itself or there's a bug in the app.
Can you let us know what hardware and firmware you're using?

				| AND the Tick Cross removes any indication on the map of where the camera is located.
(On the iOS version, anyway and it's not at the bottom either. Not that I care where it is, I just want to turn the entire thing OFF!

				| We're in the CamerAlert for Android forum.
And the OP was not asking how to turn noises off, he was reporting something not working correctly.
