Work in the background setting

I am running STA with Tomtom Go app and it was working perfectly until I deleted STA and downloaded it as I hoped it would cure the recent downloading cameralert database issue which is now sorted.

The issue I am having is the floating speedometer when running Tomtom has a zero Frozen speed but if I go back to full screen STA it is fine until you go back to Tomtom then it will run for about 10 seconds and then Floating speedo will Freeze with no speed indicated. I am Running it on a OnePlus Nord - Android 11 and have checked the "Running in the background" settings are set to don't optimize.

As I stated above, STA floating speedo was running OK until I deleted STA and then Installed again.

Any suggestion please.

All I can think of is check you are using Google Play Services as your location provider.

I can't remember whether that is set as default

You need to access app permissions and set location permission to "allow all the time". This is in phone settings, apps, then STA, then permissions.
