Well at least you didn’t ruin my day by saying the version number so I can remain ignorant of how seriously out of date my £800 built in Renault TomTom navigation system is. (It still hasn’t caught up with the first 20mph urban stuff and tries to avoid the Severn Bridge toll). _________________ Dennis

I have a Kia Ceed with TomTom. maps which I've just updated (two free per year to download and instal). The maps are showing new roads and 20 mph limits but the speed camera base is sadly lacking some that are years old so Cameralert remains on my phone. |

Hmm, interesting, I wonder how it works. Renault had their own software and TT maps, inaccessible until a French guy hacked to get at the maps, allowing me to install PGPSW database just as we used to with TT standalone devices. Problem was we had to use the Renault-adapted maps and they had rubbish update performance - late and infrequent so that after a couple years my map was six or nine months older than TT standalones, I was simultaneously using two standalones so I saw the difference. Having paid £800 for the optional media system to include TT navigation, I was very disappointed. Even more so when Renault ended support and handed me over to TT who sold me the “latest” map which was actually more than a year behind and charged £90! _________________ Dennis
